Advent Begins

We love Advent. We are going to reread a book we read 3 years ago called "Jotham's Journey." We 'll read a chapter of this story each night until Christmas. It is about a boy who lived in Israel at the time of Christ's birth. He gets lost and has quite a scary time of adventure...guess where he ends up on Christmas eve? It's a good story and Levi was begging me to read another chapter last night. It also has a devotion at the end of each chapter with a scripture passage.
Here is our advent quilt that I've had since Ethan was a baby. There is a pocket for each day of December. I put little treats or gifts in it each day. The kids get up early in December to get the check the pocket first.
Here is Levi who still looks sleepy. Each kids has a Chocolate Advent Treat. Each day they get to open another window and eat a chocolate. I should have bought one for myself. (They are 99 cents at Trader Joe's if anyone is looking for them.)
